thanks to all that truly put in the blood,sweat, and tears to this jewel of a city waiting to be harvested. thanks to the very men and women who said they are soldier and will fight the good fight to win. thanks to the promoters and distributors for their true dedication to success in this industry. thanks to the real fan base who said this song represents my emotions, and way of life right now which is why i am playing this song, and not because jenny likes it. All that being said was for this.
IF WE WANT TO TRULY BE RECOGNIZED THEN WE HAVE TO STOP RECOGNIZING EVERYTHING ELSE FIRST AND RECOGNIZE OURSELVES SO THAT COLLECTIVELY WE CAN GAIN RECOGNITION WHERE IT BELONGS AND THAT IS IN THIS DFW MUSIC SCENE.
I love all music like the next artist. I grew up in the DFW by way of my home town hood of” HAMILTON PARK” by way of Hoblitzelle dr. Bumble Bhe of Nemesis was one of my big brothers in my hood. I watched the music change from Parliament Funkadelic and migrate through its Disco 80’s era, on up to the bling of y2k! One of the main movements in my youth was KNON. KNON before it was 89.3(90.9) the very main reason for listening to the show was because you were hearing things you were not going to hear on the major radio station.
Community is just that. The union of fellowship and friendship for the same general cause is a beautiful thing. There is work involved but yet in still its beautiful. I am posting this for my DFW-ites of this area. We either are going to all create internet radio stations or we need to truly support the very same media and venue that has and currently is giving us an honest opportunity to be heard. Singers, rappers, writers, poets, spoken word artists (difference?) should if nothing else come together to support and celebrate a pioneer movement for our general collective cause and that is music with a voice to be heard!
I CHALLENGE ALL ARTISTS TO LOCAL/MAJOR/INDIE TO SEND TO THE STATION BY WAY OF THE DSBP SHOW A $10 OR $20 DONATION ALONG WITH YOUR AUTOGRAPHED CD OR SINGLE AND SAY THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITIES KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO ME THAT YOU PROVIDED. THERE CURRENTLY IS NOT SENSUS TO TELL US HOW MANY WE ARE BUT I GUARANTEE THERE IS NOT LESS THAN 5,000 ACTUAL ARTIS OUT GRINDING RIGHT NOW FOR THIS DFW MUSIC SCENE. i AM SENDING MY $20.
